Biografía
Chen Jiachen, born in Luoyang, Henan Province, on June 9, 1996, graduated from the Department of Oil Painting at the College of Fine Arts, Central South University for Nationalities. His graduation works are part of the collection at the Guanggu Art Museum. He studied in the Department of Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, Italy, specializing in marble sculpture, and was selected for the Italian National Art Prize for two consecutive years. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions and shows organized with the support of the Carrara government and is planning a solo exhibition in Italy in 2025.
His current works are mainly sculptures, projects, and installations that combine marble and LED lights. As a Chinese artist living in Europe, he blends the cultural heritage and aesthetics of the East with Western materials, design styles, and minimalist concepts, constantly exploring the balance between them and merging the aura of both to create the artist’s unique visual language. Since January 2025, he has been collaborating with the Tobian Art Gallery in Florence.
