Composiciones con personajes de ficción

La creación de composiciones con personajes ficticios es un medio de expresión formidable para el artista. Al ofrecer al espectador una apertura a su mundo interior, el artista invita al público a entrar en un diálogo con su imaginación. Esta tendencia artística relativamente reciente permite que el espectador se sienta intrigado y se cuestione lo que realmente ocurre en la imagen. Para facilitar la comprensión de la obra, a pesar de la presencia de personajes de ficción, el tema suele ser familiar. Ya sea inspirándose en los héroes de los cómics, en los juguetes de la infancia o en las imágenes de las películas de animación, los artistas como K-Arty crean una encrucijada entre dos mundos: el arte y la imaginación. Al artista le gusta jugar con las discrepancias para sorprender, por ejemplo colocando a la famosa Jessica Rabbit en lugares abandonados, mezclando humor y burla. Las obras de Catherine Théry rinden homenaje a la más famosa de las muñecas, Barbie, y la llevan a través de la historia del arte. Fotografiada y luego retocada con técnicas digitales, Catherine Théry convierte a la muñeca Barbie en una mujer fuerte e inteligente, que a veces toma prestados los códigos masculinos, al tiempo que afirma su feminidad, con total libertad. En cambio, Clotilde MJ no modifica sus imágenes, sino que fotografía las escenas en directo. ¿Cuál es el hilo conductor de nuestra selección?
