Biographie
Ad van Hassel est né le 26 avril 1953 à Roosendaal (Pays-Bas). Ad a commencé à peindre en 1980 après avoir passé des années à pratiquer diverses disciplines créatives. En 1983, il a fondé deux galeries exclusives dans les hôtels Sonesta et Krasnapolsky à Amsterdam. Ad s'est spécialisé dans la sérigraphie depuis 1990, non seulement pour lui-même mais aussi pour d'autres artistes. Il a été l'imprimeur attitré de Herman Brood pendant plus de 12 ans. D'autres artistes comme Corneille, Jan Cremer et Rob Scholte ont également travaillé avec lui et respecté son savoir-faire. Après la mort d'Herman Brood et de Corneille, Ad a décidé de se concentrer sur une nouvelle technique : La découpe et le fraisage au laser CNC de divers matériaux à partir desquels sont réalisés ses sculptures aux couleurs folles, ses billets de banque et ses bonbons Pop Art. L'art d'Ad est particulièrement demandé et ses pièces uniques sont vendues dans le monde entier par des galeries, et trouvent leur chemin vers des entreprises et des particuliers.
