Presentation

Born in 1969 in Bordeaux, Rodolphe Martinez is a multi-talented artist.

A program presenter and assistant program manager for Radio France, he has been pursuing his career as a plastic artist for more than 10 years. His multifaceted work oscillates between photography, painting, video and design. A hybrid production where digital and traditional techniques intersect (painting, drawing, sculpture, engraving and collages). He explores the ambiguity of the gaze and questions the equivocal relationship between painting and photography.

A confirmed artist, his work was presented in the public space on a tramway train in Bordeaux in 2015 or even a forest of cubic trees for the River Festival in 2015. In 2016, he collaborated with the Mollat bookstore for their 120th anniversary. That same year, he commissioned the altar of the church of St Pierre in Bordeaux and created the trophy for patrons of La Cité du Vin.

He produced several series on female faces and bodies, landscapes, summer, Venice or even the sacred, notably during a collaboration in 2018 with a monographic exhibition on Venice at the Bernard Magrez Cultural Institute. He also exhibits a series of works on the gates of the Parc Bordelais de Caudéran and his work is the subject of an exhibition "Signes" at the Espace Beaulieu.

Since 2019 he has been collaborating with Maison Petrusse on the production of artists' stoles. Refined creations, like works to wear on your own.
