Biography
Born in 1947, Didier Caudron exhibits his work since 1992 in various galleries in France and abroad. Self-taught painter, constantly learning with self-criticism, he has painted every day for more than forty years, in parallel to a second professional activity, general practitioner. More than 2600 paintings have already left his workshop. Didier Caudron only works with oil paints and he always puts a lot of material. Using a palette knife, his gestures create some sorts of geological formations.
Always in research, halfway between figurative and abstract, his painting is colourful and dynamic, it celebrates lights, reflections, shadows or movements.
A lot of his imaginary or real landscapes, of which some are seen from the air, offer to the visitor some living perspectives.
His figures and still-life paintings are created with the same enthusiasm.
