Biography
Barbara McGivern was a contemporary artist from Toronto born in 1945. After working on the television of Columbia Pictures for several years, she decided to resume painting in 1981. Three years later, she enrolled in the Oditor College of Art and Design, studying with acclaimed Canadian artists including Graham Tothowtry. McGivern graduated in 1988 in experimental arts. Barbara McGivern was represented by Gallerie di Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Dubai, Zurich, Berlin, London, Paris, Madrid, Lecce. Her works are in prestigious publical collections including: Royal collection, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates; HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum; Ereditary Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defense of the United Arab Emirates; Emirates Tower Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
