Biography
Born in 1970 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Zoro is a self-taught artist. He was interested in art from an early age: he painted, sketched and produced many comics. At 13, he turned to graffiti, a practice that led him to use new tools, notably airbrushing, also more commonly known as a paint gun. His first pictorial creations were made in 2010.
The artist draws the essence of his creation from abstract art, he intersects imagination and urban art. Nevertheless, today he slips towards figuration and lets appear on his canvases graphic writing as well as illustrations from the world of cartoons that he particularly likes. Zoro is also inspired by Pop Art and plays on the colors and the tools at his disposal to create a harmonious composition.
His tools are those used for the realization of his mural works. His paintings are thus produced using various spray cans. In addition, the artist likes to perfect his creations with Posca markers.
His first exhibition was held in 2016 in his hometown in Denmark and met with great success. He now exhibits in France and Denmark.
