Tania Marmolejo

Tania Marmolejo is an American Swedish Dominican painter born in 1975 in the Dominican Republic who is currently based in New York. Marmolejo studied Graphic Design and Illustration in Norway, then Fine Arts in the Dominican Republic and finally Fine Arts and Illustration at Parsons the New School, New York by 2000. Since graduating, the artist has worked as an illustrator for fashion and lifestyle magazines, creating characters for MTV, PBS, Disney, Scholastic Books and more. She later joined the group of artists called MadArts Studios in Brooklyn, New York. The artist's work is highly influenced by her diverse background and has represented her unique painting style in exhibitions across the United States.
