Marie T. Roche worked at the University of Paris 7 Denis-Diderot in the “Letters, Arts, Cinema” Unit. She was a specialist in film and media economics, and designer of training programs for audio-visual professions. She is one of the founders of the Master 2 dedicated to documentary cinema “The Documentary, Writing of Contemporary Worlds”.
At the same time, she attended workshops where, with painting and visual arts professionals, she was introduced to drawing, engraving and various pictorial techniques. She now devotes herself entirely to painting.
Today, she works her paintings mainly in oil. She opted for mixed ink and oil techniques for the works on paper. Her tastes, her sensitivity lead her towards abstract expressionism and lyrical abstraction in reference to the Chinese painters Chu Teh-Chun and Zao Wou-Ki.
For several years, Marie T. Roche has exhibited solo and regularly participates in collective exhibitions. She obtained the 1st Prize "Work on paper" at the Salon Artistique 2019 in Bois-Colombes, 92.
