Biography

Alain Robin maintains a certain zeal for discovery, a wise gluttony in his search for essence.
The anecdotal, the “empty", the “nothing" fascinate him. He takes a candid look at the place of man in the urban spaces that he tirelessly travels through, indulging in a desire for subjective and poetic “documentation".
His photos are born from these sidesteps, from these points of view that deviate from habits; it sublimates the ordinary¡
"The human is always present in my photos even if it is only a trace, a mark left on a wall, on a sidewalk, an abandoned object... and also because, sometimes, it is his absence that speaks best of the place of man in the city. »
