Biography
Ute Mainka is a French painter. After studiyng in Germany, she settled in the south of France, near Avignon, and worked in the Studio of Aline Russ and Jean-Pierre Vincenti. She then studied at the School of Fine Arts of Aix-en-provence.
The artist practices oil painting and she does almost all the pigments by herself. At the limit of abstraction, her work focuses on curves and brightness. Materials and color are thus primordial. Sometimes, the colors, the gilding and the multiple details of the calligraphy depicted on his canvases evoke the oriental world.
