Marc Le Mené is a French photographer, born in 1957.
Marc Le Mené eventually joined the famous Villa Medicis. He was only 22 when he settled down in Paris, he began to paint and photograph regularly, all this was financed by a job he obtained at a famous advertising photo studio.
Marc Le Mené has his own unique style, he designs objects before taking pictures of them. He places his objects inside a "mental room": closed on five sides and open on one, so that he can place his camera.
Marc uses a 3D process which is within everyone's reach, He develops his work in Selenium, giving them an old look with some red and green reflections.
He doesn't want to be considered only as a photographer, therefore, he can't be assimilated with a trend or a date. Marc Le Mené's artistic world is filled with visual references, derived from photography or cinema, all these works are unmistakably inspired by surrealism and cubism.
Mysterious and amazing, Marc's works can be assimilated with alchemy. In fact that artist is open about the traditional aspect of his work.
