Biography
Fabesko was born in 1970. She lives and works in Paris and in Belgium.
Fabesko certainly made her first doodles when she was 3 or 4, like all the children, but then she has never stopped… As she says : "I don't know what to do with my hands, so I paint, and it feels good".
Drawings, paintings, pieces sewn on canvas, textile art, installations... her universe is peopled by superheroes, monsters, icons, anatomical reconstructions... it mixes childish innocence and grown-up harshness, composing an extraordinary psychedelic pharmacopoeia against the troubles of the urban society. Guards of her imagination, Fabesko's superheroes make us wonder : if they really existed, would they not care or could they save us?
