Biography

Julia Polak is inspired by a new nature, she likes to let herself be carried by associations of images, graphics, materials and colors. Little by little, the subject emerges, appears.

She works and reworks the composition, adds, removes elements and matter, until the painting is built, on paper or on raw canvas.

The artist shares his impressions from the heart of the world around him and takes in the news; particularly that linked to the decrease in biodiversity, the endangerment of species.

The artist reveals a hybrid nature, mutant, which would have survived urban planning, pollution, which would be adapted to climate change, which she associates with intimate subjects.

His paintings are as many journeys and interpretations of the meeting of a reality and of what escapes him.

The different techniques used: inks, acrylic, marker, Bic pen, allow him to vary the materials and the effects of textures, transparencies which are as important as the subject itself.

In each painting, she takes us on a unique story and a different color palette, which contributes to the structure and strength of it.
