Biography

Alain Poncon, touched very young by the disappearance of his mother, took refuge in drawing and color, before embarking on sculpture under the influence of Roger Chomeaux dit Chomo, an extraordinary multidisciplinary artist.


He then became interested in new techniques, producing hundreds of inks and “a tempera” paints, while remaining faithful to the oil of his beginnings.


But the artist is above all a "researcher" and his imagination leads him to develop concepts as different as the "diversion of garden gnomes" or a collective of artists on the principle of "the poetry of chance", drawn from work of the famous psychologist CGJung.


Today Alain Ponçon expresses himself through societal themes imbued with poetry and uncertainty in the face of major questions about the meaning of our life and the uncertain future of our society ...
