Biography
JC Thorez is a plastic artist and sculptor on stainless steel.
In his hands, the mirror-polished stainless steel becomes fabric. The natural folds and emotions arise from leaves worked to the limit of tearing, a violent fight waged exclusively cold with the material.
Unique pieces emerge, with goldsmith finishes. Poetic sculptures, with multiple readings, sublimated by the living reflections they maintain with light.
His conceptual works have already conquered several salons and galleries, such as Paris on the highly prized Place des Vosges, Marseille, Geneva, Brussels or Knokke Heist, a Belgian benchmark in contemporary art.
