André Rau

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, André Rau has always had a strong fondness for the visual arts from an early age. After leaving Germany, André moved to Paris and began his formal training in photography assisting Peter Lindbergh. Thanks to a remarkable career, André is now recognized as one of the most renowned fashion and beauty photographers of our time.

Diverse and inspiring, his images span a variety of impressive materials. However, André is internationally renowned for his insightful yet powerful portraits of celebrities. André still lives in Paris, but he travels a lot to photograph legendary icons such as Meryl Streep, Catherine Deneuve, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Brad Pitt or George Clooney.
