Biography
Born in 1984 in Hong Kong, Firenze Lai is an artist, illustrator, and co-founder of the Hulahoop Gallery of Hong Kong. She graduated from the painting program at Hong Kong Art School, before pursuing her career. Working through the mediums of painting and sketch drawings, Lai's work often depicts anonymous figures, psychological landscapes, and the collectiveness of human experience.
Her paintings have been exhibited at numerous international showcases, including the Shanghai Biennale in 2014, the Venice Biennale in 2017, and the New Museum Triennial in 2015.
