Biography
Heidi’s paintings are semi abstract reflections and compositions of landscapes and coastlines – honing in on repeat shapes, seasonal colour, glimpses of images and textures. Heidi regularly visits family in Herefordshire and has been inspired in her work by the journey through the Brecon landscapes.
At home in her studio, Heidi works on canvas board employing a process which is fluid and evolving – scoring, sanding and using acrylics, charcoal and carborundum to build up gentle textures. She then continuously layers the designs, painting with cut cloth and oil colours in the main.
Heidi’s art practise has been ongoing for many years, both independently and through private courses. She has been invited to exhibit her work in galleries nationwide, regularly exhibits with other artists and has work commissioned by private clients.
