Presentation
Throughout the 90's and early 2000's, Gamuret honed his art skills and style in Seattle. Making posters and fliers for bands from Punk Rock to Country and Westerns, his colorful street art and hand-stenciled T-shirts were noticed by the famous Seattle gallerist Richard Hines. Hines, well known for his groundbreaking exhibitions of American abstract and pop artists like Peter Stella, Andy Warhol, and Keith Haring, was impressed with Gamuret's artistic style and range, and encouraged his transition into working on canvas. This led to his relocating to New York in 2008 where he continued doing personal commissions and artwork for the local music scene. Gamuret began working with DTR Modern Gallery in 2019. His works have been sold by the gallery to the Catbird Restaurant in The National and now numerous private collections around the country.
