Biography
Thomas Dodd is an Atlanta-based photographer and digital artist whose work blurs the line between photography and classical art. Mythology and religion are recurring themes in his works; the approach is always marked with a touch of irony, paying homage to the traditions of the masters who influence his vision. Although his work is close to painting, he actually belongs to the world of photography, even though his works are much more than just reworked photos. His images give off an organic feel that never seems to have been created using a computer, the “cut and paste” process is avoided, with the natural composition of the main photograph being preferred. His work is made up of many layers: each new look at his works is likely to create new interpretations. His symbolic, psychological approach to art is truly unique and is imbued with multiple facets.
