Bargalló Lamberto was born on March 7, 1949 in Tarragona, Spain. He studied at Escola Massana in Barcelona, Spain and at the University of Paris 8 in France. He sculpts stone, including the soapstone of the famous “Christ the Redeemer" of Rio de Janeiro, but he is also a sculptor of wood, Terra Cottas, bronzes, and creates bronze jewelry sculptures.

Paris Arts Olympics

In 1991 and 1992, during the Paris Arts Olympiads organized by the Galerie Lise Cormery, for the CNOSF, French National Olympic and Sports Committee, on the occasion of the 1992 Olympic Games in France, under the aegis of President Mitterrand and of the Mayor of Paris, Jacques Chirac, Bargalló is selected with the Spanish delegation for this bronze jewel sculpture.

This international event followed the Seoul Arts Olympics where the city founded for this competition a Museum of International Paintings and SOMA, a Museum of monumental outdoor sculptures, with invited artists from all over the world to exhibit and represent the 20th century art, including the sculptures of Moon Shin and Asdrúbal Colmenarez which are still on display there.
