Seeing Bernard Vié work is always witnessing an exciting game of assembling between shapes, colors, textures, which in the same movement seem to get along and contradict each other. Here again we recognize the mark of one who suggests more than imposes, of one who, without inappropriate boasting, manages to bring together what a priori seemed irreconcilable. There is a remnant of childhood in the wonder that arises immediately from these encounters. Let us also see the proof of a maturity and an independence of mind which sovereignly defies reductive classifications, empty speeches, narrow ambitions and blocked horizons.
