Presentation
Annie Becco is a French painter born in Dordogne in 1949, she lives in Toulouse since 1981. First he studied with Gérard Capou in Gaillac, after he learned from Raymond Espinasse, Paul Leberger, Daniel Schintone, Christian Schmidt and Alain Signolles in Toulouse. Since 1993 he works alone in his studio.
Her artistic career includes the practices of academic drawing, watercolor, dry pastel, gouache and finally acrylics which remains her favorite technique. Indeed, Annie Becco uses acrylic paint by superimposing layers and successive passages with the brush in order to gradually give life to the color and thus to give birth to the artwork. The speed of execution thanks to the fast drying of the acrylic enables her to play with the material, creating transparency, density or depth, thus making her works unique.
In her work, Annie Becco is influenced by Rochelle's landscape, her luminous atmosphere and the blue of the ocean. In her works she combines colorful contrasts in alternating transparency and thickness. The artist moves gradually from the figurative to the abstract, her desire which was at the origin to seek to represent what was offered to her eyes, it gradually turned towards the interior and the private sphere of her emotions.
She has exhibitedher work in French galleries and has also taken part in collective exhibitions abroad. She traveled to Indonesia, Spain, Belgium and Italy and recently exhibited in Barcelona.
