Biography
Micheline Schnurmacher self-taught began sculpture on March 18, 1985 in a workshop in the City of Paris. Her funny creatures, resolutely abstract, emerged from the earth. From these coiled, superimposed, voluptuous, and suggestive forms, the framework of sensuality is sketched. How to remain unmoved before these pieces that solicit the gaze but also the touch and how to remain impassive before these smooth volumes with warm patinas and elongated forms. The visual is often apprehended by the tactile, Micheline's work appears as the result of a combination of full and loose.
Some group exhibitions, the workshops of the City of Paris, Club des arts du Centre de Paris, City Hall of Levallois etc…..
In 2019, Micheline after moving to the Southwest, continued to "put her hands in the earth" with as much pleasure and passion. Her pieces are made of sandstone that she fires and then Micheline creates a patina and her sculptures are unique.
