The Artsper Art Advisor: Pauline Baudry

Passionate about art from a young age, Pauline had a defining moment at 16 when she encountered a drawing by Victor Brauner at the Guggenheim in Venice. This experience naturally led her to pursue a career in the art world. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history and a master’s degree in the art market, and has since worked in galleries specialising in post-war art, as well as in an auction house.

These experiences have given her a rigorous approach to researching artworks, artists, provenance and authentication, including extensive library research.

She has also worked at several art fairs, including Art Paris, FAB Paris, Paris Photo and PAD, contributing to their preparation and organisation, as well as presenting artworks to buyers.

At Artsper, she also creates educational content about art, including online talks on major artists and art movements throughout history, as well as personalised guided tours during major art-world events.
