Cartoons Artworks
Mickey, the Pink Panther or Peanuts, cartoons characters are loved by all. Red, green or yellow, contemporary artists love those bold and vividly coloured collages. Like Roy Lichtenstein, cartoons are once again all the rage. Humour and self-depreciation make it possible to criticise the consumer society and the diktats that arise from it. By reappropriating the heroes of popular culture or TV, artists create socially engaged works. Drawn or pasted, the characters of famous cartoons such as Garfield rub shoulders with Frida Kahlo.
