Description
Helen Mount's painting "Melodies of Rain/13" captures the unsurpassed beauty of the moment when day gives way to evening and the sky is filled with different shades of sunset after rain. The work shows a striking contrast between the warm orange and coral hues that illuminate the horizon and the cool gray-blue tones of the sky that reflect the remnants of the dissipating clouds. The light that gently reflects from the wet ground adds depth and softness to the landscape, giving the painting a lyrical and meditative character. "Melodies of Rain/13" is a reflection of the changing nature and its ability to transform, inviting the viewer to reflect on the eternal beauty of the world around us.
