Description
This intriguing work features a set of stylized aquatic forms, occupying a space divided by subtle lines. The sea creatures, reminiscent of fish and other ocean dwellers, are rendered in black and white, contrasting boldly with the gradient green background. Each silhouette is decorated with geometric and organic patterns, providing a rich and varied texture. The arrangement of the subjects, combined with the use of curved and straight lines, creates a harmonious and fluid dynamic. The subtle variations of color in the background add depth, echoing the movements of the water. The play between abstraction and realistic representation invites prolonged contemplation, awakening the viewer's imagination. It is an artistic celebration of the underwater world, both modern and poetic, offering a unique and captivating vision of aquatic life.
Presentation
In recent years my approach has been to experiment with materials and various techniques to then agglomerate these and to return to more direct and simple works. My latest paintings are, in my opinion, an achievement on the subject of color contrasts, the work of the backgrounds with the opposition of the foreground and the background. A search for suspension and frozen time. Sometimes simplicity in the colors but to accompany the contrasts. My objective, if I have succeeded, is to ensure that the spectator is not bored by what he sees and that he tends to return to look at the painting with feelings of immersion, submersion and oversight. This is why there is no theme in my paintings but rather clues of reality or not, which are lost in the imbalance of shapes and objects.
