“My plastic research seems to me to be an involuntary journey populated by a multiplicity of perceptions. I take a lot of photographs. Often simple and evocative things. Traces of stains on stones, leaves, reflections in the water... All these elements are like little seeds that contribute to the development of a new work, a new series. These elements can be superimposed on others, associated with memories, to come out in the painting in another form. I am sensitive to all sorts of details. Colors, smells, sounds, shadows, shapes. Small, sometimes insignificant elements can all be a path to explore, consciously or unconsciously.

I preferably use natural materials. I favor the unison of cold or warm colors in a monochrome allowing to express a kind of unity. I associate them with white and gold. Pigments or vegetable inks. I include gold or bronze powder which symbolizes both the sacred and the light. Blue is the color I use most often. The colors should be in harmony. A shades of blue will generate a softness, I prefer not to affix warm colors to it which will seem more flashy. The use of white, often by covering with oil pastels, allows me to achieve a harmonious impression. A feeling of calm, tranquility, silence.

I am interested in simplicity of means. I am sensitive to the touch of materials, and I work on supports of vegetable origin. »
