Description
This captivating artwork features an abstract figure with flowing, curved lines. Dominated by red and pink hues, the composition is enhanced with spiral patterns and geometric shapes, providing a dynamic contrast with the textured background. A single blue eye, surrounded by black lines, draws attention to the top of the figure, adding a mystical depth. The presence of circular patterns and red lines mixed with a series of black dots and spirals reinforces the image's vibrant energy. Touches of green subtly frame the bottom, suggesting natural elements. This painting is distinguished by its graphic boldness and its ability to inspire a rich and varied personal interpretation.
Presentation
Brigitte Derbigny is a contemporary painter, draftsman, and printmaker based in France. Her artistic talent has gained national and international recognition, with exhibitions in Spain, Canada, and Brazil.
Brigitte Derbigny's creative process is an introspective journey, a journey from the inside out, taking place in the margins of her mind. It begins with spontaneous bursts of inspiration, manifesting as quick sketches made with pencil, marker, ballpoint pen, or ink—whatever tools are at hand. These sketches constitute the genesis of her artistic exploration, transporting her beyond the boundaries of time and space, from the realms of yesterday to the landscapes of today.
A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Lille, Derbigny currently resides and works in Burgundy, where she continues to explore the depths of her artistic vision, inviting the viewer to embark on a journey of introspection and discovery through her evocative creations.
