Description
In this elegant work, I embody the essence of minimalist pop art blended with erotic art and retro style, creating a vivid summer seascape and a sense of sea escape. At the bow of a bright red yacht — a red sailing ship slicing through ocean waves — sits a nude woman in a yoga pose. Her bare female body, with graceful curves and exposed breast, is caressed by the sun's gentle rays. She effortlessly balances a glass of champagne on her head, symbolizing harmony and balance.
The palette of cool blue shades contrasts strikingly with the fiery red sailboat, enhancing the feeling of freedom and endless summer. The sea and waves surrounding her evoke an atmosphere of peaceful ocean solitude embraced by nature. The composition is a tribute to femininity, balance, and elegance.
This is a celebration of the nude female body, movement, and the joy of summer — all expressed through the lens of minimalist pop art. The work is infused with subtle notes of humor and glamour, adding a playful yet sophisticated dimension to the eroticism and sensuality depicted.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
