Bazán's series, Absent Music, is a journey into the hidden influence of sound on memory. Rather than painting music directly, Bazán creates visual representations of what remains after the sound has faded. By translating the intangible world of music into the concrete language of painting, Bazán reveals the immense power of art. His pieces show how an external stimulus—like a song—can leave a deep and lasting mark on our internal, emotional world. Some works in the series may evoke a distinct sound, like the sea heard in a piano key or the static of a needle on vinyl, while others might recall the soft, floating melodies of a composer like Satie.
