Description
Beto En Blanco contemporary figurative painting acrylic, DTF and oil pastel on canvas: technology as bodily impulse
From the first visual impact, the work generates a sense of active lightness, as if the body were about to break the limits of the space that contains it. In this piece, Beto En Blanco constructs an experience where energy is not depicted but transmitted. Beto En Blanco contemporary figurative painting acrylic, DTF and oil pastel on canvas situates itself within contemporary figuration and contemporary realism, activating a collective memory tied to visual culture, portable music, and the intimate expansion of technology as lived experience.
Acrylic, DTF and oil pastel on canvas: suspended rhythm
The pictorial surface vibrates with a rhythm that does not stop. Open brushstrokes and layered textures generate a sensation of continuous displacement, where blue, yellow, and orange function as visual pulses. Contemporary figurative painting appears here through movement rather than stillness. The use of acrylic and oil pastel on canvas creates a tension between control and gesture, while DTF introduces a material texture that reinforces the physical presence of the work and its connection to current visual culture.
Contemporary figuration: the everyday elevated
The conceptual core of the work is articulated through a widely recognized cultural icon: the promise that the impossible could become everyday. The device is not presented as an object, but as a detonator of deeper transformation. “Ten thousand songs in your pocket" does not speak about quantity, but about the normalization of the extraordinary. The body does not walk—it propels itself, responding to sound as a physical experience. This image remains because it connects with a collective shift: when technology ceased to be a tool and became an emotional extension of the body and of how we inhabit the world.
Beto En Blanco + acrylic, DTF and oil pastel: contemporary iconography
Beto En Blanco's pictorial signature is recognized in the integration of cultural symbols within a direct bodily narrative, free of irony or nostalgia. The work subtly dialogues with the visual energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, through gesture, figure under tension, and condensed symbolic charge. Trained at a pioneering institution with the backing of international organizations, the artist translates strategic thinking into a painting that communicates with clarity. Executed in acrylic, DTF and oil pastel on canvas, measuring 75 × 75 cm and dated 2025, this piece is presented as an original artwork, unique piece, and signed work, where technique and concept coexist naturally.
Presentation
En Blanco, the pseudonym of Alberto Blanco (Mexico City, 1974), with roots in Ciudad Satélite and long-time resident of Coyoacán, has built a life trajectory marked by the contrast between the urban and the intimate.
He is a contemporary visual artist who combines his training in design and advertising with pictorial exploration. Educated at one of Mexico's pioneering institutions, with a global vision endorsed by international organizations, he developed a strategic and creative mindset that is now reflected in his work.
For over three decades, he worked in art direction and creative leadership on projects that reached millions of people, leaving a mark on both global icons and brands deeply connected to Mexican popular culture. His images inhabited public spaces and major media outlets,
becoming part of the daily life of people across Mexico and Latin America.
Today, his path in the art world is taking shape through exhibitions that confirm a natural transition: from filling streets, screens, and magazines with images designed for millions, to building a universe where those same skills are transformed into personal and artistic expression.
