Description
Korf 22
Oil painting Still life in the red room Natalia Korf-Ivaniuk is a striking contemporary composition that transforms everyday objects into a bold visual statement. Against an intense red background, the silhouettes of glass bottles emerge with strong presence, creating a powerful contrast of color and form. The artist uses minimal detail and expressive outlines to emphasize structure, balance, and rhythm within the composition, giving the still life a modern, almost abstract character. orf-Ivaniuk's mastery is evident in the confident brushwork and layered textures that enrich the surface. Subtle variations of tone within the red field create depth, while cool blue and green accents bring harmony and visual tension. The interplay of light and shadow on the bottles demonstrates refined control of color relationships and spatial composition. This original oil painting highlights the artist's distinctive style, blending simplicity with emotional intensity. Ideal for contemporary interiors, it offers a bold focal point and reflects Natalia Korf-Ivaniuk's skill in elevating everyday subjects into expressive works of art.
Presentation
Natalia Korf-Ivanyuk (b. 1985, Kremenchuk, Ukraine) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist whose work blends ethnic symbolism, poetic abstraction, and refined painterly expression. After graduating from Poltava National Yuri Kondratyuk University, she remained there as a lecturer in the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts. Since 2010, she has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and an active participant in exhibitions, plein airs, and international art projects.
Working in oil, mixed media, and graphic techniques, Korf-Ivanyuk creates visually striking compositions inspired by Ukrainian cultural heritage, nature, and the connection between past and present. Her paintings often feature abstracted botanical forms that transform into symbolic, almost living entities. Through luminous color fields, elegant lines, and layered textures, she builds harmonious compositions filled with movement and emotional depth.
Her artistic language is distinguished by a balance between decorative sophistication and philosophical content. Simple motifs evolve into metaphorical images that evoke memory, identity, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. This distinctive style, combined with refined color relationships and a strong sense of composition, makes her work instantly recognizable.
Korf-Ivanyuk has participated in numerous exhibitions across Ukraine and Europe and is regularly represented in galleries and curated art projects. Her works are held in museum and private collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ukraine, and are increasingly sought after by collectors for their originality, cultural resonance, and contemporary aesthetic.
