Description
This vibrant and bold artwork captures attention with its abstract and expressive style. At its center, a stylized figure with geometric forms combines anthropomorphic and surreal elements. Dominated by a vivid color palette, including red, orange, and blue, the composition plays with strong contrasts. The blue background, adorned with swirling patterns, lends visual dynamism, while thick outlines define the forms. The bursts of red around the figure seem to mimic movement, adding a lively and rhythmic dimension. The decorative border with repeating patterns frames the scene, accentuating its playful and experimental aspect. This work engages the viewer with its unique visual language, inviting a free and imaginative interpretation.
Presentation
Born October 22, 1946 in Santiago, Chile, this pigeon has lived for twenty years in the south of France. Party of Santiago following the military coup of 1973, he first lived in several Latin countries US before coming to nest on the Provençal lands. As a graphic designer, he worked in the Argentine, Mexican and Chilean media who fought for freedom of expression and the end of dictatorships; today as an artist, he kept the footprints of its origins and paints, sculpts and makes installations with materials picked up here and there.
Through a free illustration, color, material and profusion, he deposits on various substrates (wood, canvas, cardboard, plexiglass, varied recycling equipment ) images that he caught on the fly, during his travel and contact with disabilities and other artists. Gleaner inveterate, it also fills with humor and poetry devious objects or blank media while pointing his brushes and pencils on the contradictions of our globalized world.
