A radiant bouquet of roses overflows from a pale vase in this exuberant palette-knife still life. Hayk Miqayelyan builds each bloom from thick, sculptural slabs of paint — soft pinks, creamy whites, fiery reds, and sunny yellows piled into rich ridges of impasto that catch the light. Lush green leaves and flashes of cobalt blue weave through the arrangement, while a few fallen petals scatter across the table below. Set against a cool, moody grey-blue ground, the warm, vibrant flowers seem to glow with life and energy. The bold, spontaneous knifework lends the surface a vivid, tactile richness. Joyful and luminous, this is a celebration of color, texture, and the timeless beauty of roses in full bloom.
