The breath of august, 2026

Olha Symonenko

The composition invites the viewer to step into an intimate, micro-level wilderness. Interweaving bold botanicals—reminiscent of wild tansy blossoms and tall grasses—with delicate, intricate spiderwebs and piercing geometric light rays, the artwork transforms a simple natural setting into an ethereal, almost sacred space.
In creating this piece, a conscious emphasis was placed on atmospheric depth and structural interplay. Rays of brilliant, warm sunlight break through a layered background of muted sage green, deep forest undertones, and subtle, luminous washes of lavender-violet and misty gray. The graphic contrast between the golden-yellow floral clusters, sharp grass blades, and the fine, web-like white lines creates a compelling sense of motion, as if capturing a fleeting breath of morning air.
Rather than presenting a traditional landscape, the painting functions as a meditation on interconnectedness and temporal transience. It captures that rare, meditative moment when raw, unpolished nature reveals its complex geometry, illuminated by the transformative power of natural light.  The artwork will be shipped rolled for safe transit, all canvas measures 130x160cm.
