Ziv & the Plastic Flora of Ikea (2), 2025

Michal Mozes

A circular composition frames a delicate intersection of nature and humanity. A woman stands in profile, her back turned to the viewer. She carries a lush bouquet that seems to grow from her silhouette. Soft white blooms dominate the upper half. Their petals unfurl in rhythmic layers. Deep magenta accents provide a striking contrast. The floral arrangement creates a dynamic movement across the canvas. Fine greenery and slender stems add organic structure. The background remains a neutral, misty grey. This void emphasizes the purity of the colors. Light washes over the skin and petals with a soft glow. The artist employs a precise technique to capture varied textures. Smooth skin meets the velvety touch of flower petals. This artwork explores the silent bond between the feminine form and the botanical world. It evokes a sense of serenity and quiet contemplation. The circular format lends a meditative quality to the scene. Each brushstroke contributes to a refined, atmospheric depth. The image concludes with a detailed study of small, budding leaves.
