Description
To what extent is our inner balance truly an individual state? Sometimes calm emerges precisely in the presence of others — through closeness, trust, and the sense of a shared space. Perhaps our ability to lower our inner vigilance, even briefly, also depends on who is beside us.
The rabbit, a familiar image in the artist's practice, shifts here from the realm of inner movement toward themes of closeness and shared safety. In Nest of the Wary, different states coexist: calm alongside alertness, movement alongside stillness, the instinct to hide alongside the desire to remain close. The boundaries between individual figures almost dissolve, leaving open the question of where personal space ends and shared space begins.
Perhaps it is precisely within this contradiction that the idea of a nest emerges — a place where timidity is no longer the only possible state, gradually giving way to a sense of calm and comfort.
