A radiant bouquet of sunflowers bursts from a turquoise-blue vase above a table of glossy ruby-red pomegranates, one split open to reveal its glistening seeds. Karine Harutyunyan applies thick, sculpted strokes of oil paint that make the golden petals glow against a violet and cobalt background. The geometric Armenian-style carpet pattern beneath the fruit adds a warm folk touch and a proud sense of heritage. Sunny, abundant, and full of life, this still life brings the joy of late summer to a kitchen, dining room, living room or office. A heartfelt gift for lovers of Armenian art and flowers.
