From the Treasures series

The Given explores the invisible inheritance we receive from our grandparents in childhood — love, care, faith, trust, and a sense of belonging. These are gifts that cannot be measured, stored in a chest, or passed down as material possessions, yet they shape who we become and remain with us throughout our lives.

Treasures, a chalice, a book, embroidery, and flowers from the Opillia region appear against a dark, velvet-like background. They are not intended as ethnographic representations, but as symbols of something far less visible — the emotional and cultural inheritance carried from one generation to the next.

Just as an embroidered pattern is created and continued stitch by stitch, another invisible pattern is passed down through generations — the ways we feel, trust, love, remember, and relate to ourselves and the world.

The Given is about everything we receive long before we understand its value — the invisible treasures that become part of who we are and give us the freedom to live our own lives.
