Description
The painting depicts a calm waterscape with gondolas in the foreground. Two gondolas — one pinkish-purple, the other blue — are moored to tall wooden posts and reflected in the still water. In the background, through a light mist, the silhouettes of the city's buildings and towers can be seen, as well as a small gondola with a gondolier. The painting is executed in light, soft tones with textured brushstrokes, creating an atmosphere of calm and morning mist.
