Only Love, 2025

Salome Rigvava

A striking study of psychological tension and intimacy. The composition centers on a figure partially hidden behind a striped curtain. Dramatic light filters through the fabric. It casts stark horizontal shadows across the skin. These lines act as a visual cage. They mirror the rhythmic patterns of the drapery. A single eye peers through the darkness. The gaze is penetrating and watchful. It suggests a delicate balance between vulnerability and defense. This oil painting emphasizes the unspoken layers of human emotion. The artist uses a refined figurative approach to explore the internal world. A small stone held in the hand adds a focal point of clarity. The word inscribed upon it serves as a poignant anchor. It transforms the atmosphere from one of apprehension to one of hope. The skin tones are rendered with soft precision. They contrast sharply with the deep, void-like background. This interplay of light and shadow heightens the sense of solitude. The artwork captures a fleeting moment of introspection. It invites the viewer to contemplate the fragile nature of faith. Each brushstroke contributes to a heavy, atmospheric silence. The scene concludes with a tactile detail in the grip of the fingers.
