Description
The artist painted this study from life in a single session at Tsaritsyno Park in 2002. A sudden burst of gold captures the essence of a changing season. This landscape radiates warmth through thick, expressive applications of paint. The artist employs a rich palette of ochre and amber to define the foliage. These vibrant tones contrast sharply against a muted, pale blue sky. A soft Yazvenka river flows in the foreground, mirroring the tranquil atmosphere of the dusk. The brushwork is bold and decisive. It creates a textured surface that suggests movement in the wind. Every stroke contributes to a sense of quiet contemplation. The composition balances the density of the forest with the openness of the water. This creates a rhythmic harmony across the canvas. The light feels filtered and soft, typical of a late autumn afternoon. It evokes a nostalgic feeling of solitude and natural beauty. The artwork emphasizes the transient quality of light in nature. A single slender birch trunk stands out as a focal point amidst the golden haze.
