Description
Kim Butler is from the Tjukurla region in the Northern Territories. Her works mainly represent sacred ceremonial places and mainly female ceremonies during which women gather to celebrate their ancestors and the Dreamtime through their songs and dances. Kim's style is "classic" and very well mastered in the execution of the "doting", the bright and flamboyant colors enhance the perfectly executed ensemble. Women are most often represented by U-shapes, while concentric circles describe sacred sites. The quality of his works is recognized today, his work is exhibited in many Australian galleries and is part of large private collections.
Presentation
