Description
Original oil painting on canvas.
Hand-signed, titled and dated on the back by the artist: Cupole e tetti di Roma, V. Paradisi 2011.
Beautiful colorful work on canvas depicting the typical view on Rome. Indeed we can see ancient domes and roofs of buildings. This artwork is characterized by very intense and warm colors. The architectural volumes are realized with shades of pink and red with orange and yellow strokes.
This work has been realized by the Italian painter and artist Vittorio Paradisi. Vittorio Paradisi was born in Lecce in 1934. He actually lives and works in Rome. His first solo exhibition was held in 1962 at the Eugenio Maccagnani Gallery, in Lecce. He has set up more than 70 Personal Exhibitions and participated in over a thousand national and international competitions and awards. Since 1959 he has taught Pictorial Decoration at the State Art Institute of Lecce and since 1971 Pictorial Disciplines at the 2nd State Artistic High School in Rome.
In 1982 the anthological volume of graphics and dyes was published for the Cerroni editions of Rome. He has made several sacred works. His works are in prestigious private collections in different parts of the world. His typically Apulian-Mediterranean Roman painting is linked, compared to the Roman School of the 1900s, with a wider and more intense range of colors.
