Description
I use a mixed technique, first in acrylic, as a base, then in oil. Using these two mediums, I explore combinations of colors and textures, spontaneously and sometimes impulsively.
I confront them and put them in tension, then I soften them and enhance them by showing outlines, by accentuating certain shapes and spots of color.
My universe is colorful, dreamlike and joyful, inhabited by kinds of chimeras, singular animals, silhouettes lurking in the hollow of a form or in a mixture of colors.

Presentation
Anne Scandella creates an emotional, instinctive and eventful painting with a particular rhythm, obeying a changing choreography. She relies on the state of mind of the moment to represent the abundance and movement of life, its surprises, its dead ends, its discoveries.
We can find there symbols, warning signs, paths, tortuous or straight. We can read there successions of moments, sequences of life according to the colors and the rhythm of the brushstrokes and knife strokes, the alternation of phases of joyful acceleration, of runaway and pauses, of respites, serene or not. .
