Description
Artwork conceived and imagined by the Cuban-American artist Gabriela Noelle.
Made from Tibetan wool, hand-dyed by the artist, as well as wood, acrylic and paracord, this sculpture is produced in an edition of 8.
Each piece is entirely personalized by the artist. The wool is individually dyed by hand for each piece, creating unique variations in shade. The assembly of the different elements also differs from one piece to another, giving each work its own distinct identity within the edition.
The sculpture comes with its presentation box and can be displayed inside or outside of it, according to the collector's wish.
The box and the sculpture are numbered and signed by the artist.
Presentation
Cuban-American artist Gabriela Noelle (born 1990) creates playable artworks and interactive objects inspired by childhood. From functional pieces like indoor swings to three-dimensional sculptures in public spaces, all of her pieces encourage the viewer to see the world through the eyes of a child. This childlike perspective encourages the viewer to use their imagination, exercise their curiosity, and connect with their environment.
Gabriela sees her work as a preservation practice, serving to document our time on Earth for future generations.
Recent exhibitions and collaborations include Just a Space, curated by Sarah Andelman, Pop Up Park at Ten over Six, a radiant mobile at Nashville International Airport, and a collection with London-based designer Mira Mikati.
