Presentation

Pascal Saint-Philippe, born in 1965 in Indre, is a French artist who lives between Nice and Toulouse. A member of the UMAM (Union Méditerranéenne pour l'Art Moderne - Association created in 1946 by Henri Matisse and Pierre Bonnard), he regularly participates in various artistic projects including thematic biennials organized at the prestigious Château-Musée Grimaldi in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

Defining himself as a visual artist and an artistic designer, he builds his works around different techniques that vary from sculpture to photography through video or sound. Convinced by the notion of meaning that a work must convey, his works deal with subjects that he approaches through a prism that favors objective reflection and does not seek to influence the visitors of his exhibitions.

Nourished by his own experiences and travels, he is interested in the problem of the free circulation of firearms in the United States and in the representation of the notion of the sacred in society.

His works, which are all based on a precise theme, are also imbued with an aestheticism based essentially on research into forms and situations.
